Laqaixit Tewee

Born of Scandinavian, British Isle descent and 1/8 Ojibwa ancestry, Laqaixit Iwaasasa Tewee uses the Native American translation of her name "Dancing Light" as her art signature for all her original illustrations throughout this first children's series of hers.

A world traveler: having lived in Canada, France, Ruanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo for a number of years, Laqaixit incorporates personal primitive living experiences as well as some stories passed down orally to her in other languages into this 12 book culmination of fairy tales.

Her goal throughout the books is to remind both young and young-at-heart the fundamental principles of right and wrong.
